PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary switch which can make a user quickly recognize the fact that a desired state is unselectable.SOLUTION: The rotary switch having multiple operating positions includes drive means 22, 23 for driving a rotary section 1, and a selectability determination means 100 for determining whether or not multiple operating positions are selectable. When an operating position existing in the rotational direction of the rotary section 1 of the rotary switch is determined unselectable by the selectability determination means 100, the drive means 22, 23 rotate the rotary section 1 in a direction separating from the operating position, in place of the force for operating the rotary section 1. |
