The method involves braiding a core (10) with fiber material e.g. carbon fiber or glass fiber, when the core is guided through a weaving device (12). The core is received from a storage (13) i.e. magazine, by a feeding device and supplied to the weaving device by the feeding device. The core is engaged to a side of the weaving device with a removal unit. The core is guided through the weaving device perpendicular to a cross-section in a braiding point in which the material is stored on the core, and the alignment of the core with the feeding device and removal unit is carried out. An independent claim is also included for a weaving device.
