The appliance (1) has a container (3) i.e. caustic solution container, surrounding a treatment area (4), where hot water (10) is guided from the treatment area to a hot water outlet (7) through a siphon (9). A venturi nozzle (14) is arranged in a flow direction (15) of the hot water behind the siphon such that an output (17) of an injector (18) opens into a hot water pipe section (16) of the venturi nozzle. An input (19) of the injector is connected with the container through a pneumatic line (26), which opens into the treatment area above a maximum hot water level (25) in the treatment area.
