A method, terminal and system capable of adjusting a parameter according to a moving speed of a terminal. The method comprises: a mobile terminal detecting signal strength of a serving cell and judging a current moving speed according to speed judgment criteria issued by a base station, and adjusting a system parameter according to the moving speed, the system parameter being a cell reselection threshold parameter or a switching trigger duration parameter. By means of the technical solution, accuracy and timeliness of the UE speed judgment are improved, the network switching success rate is improved, and user experience is improved as well.
