PURPOSE: An endoscope system and an operating method thereof are provided to prevent the infection due to an endoscope by using a cover for accommodating an endoscope insertion part which is inserted into the inside of a patient's body. CONSTITUTION: A cover(120) accommodates the insertion part(112) of an endoscope(110). A camera(113) photographs the inner image of the cover to compensate for white balance. A central process unit(130) controls the endoscope insertion part inserted into the inside of a patient's body. The white balance compensation unit receives the inner image from the camera to control the white balance. A control unit processes an image signal controlled by the white balance compensation unit. |
