A backlight unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) having the same are provided to change a structure of a grip of a lamp guide for fixing a lamp so as to linearly contact with the lamp, thereby improving spot faults generated in a grip area. A backlight unit comprises plural lamps(213), plural lamp guides for fixing the plural lamps at predetermined intervals, and a reflecting plate(217) where the plural lamp guides are fixed. The lamp guide comprises at least one or more grips(209b) and a base plate(209a). The at least one or more grips respectively fixes the lamps through linear contact. In the base plate, the at least one or more grips are fixed at certain intervals. |
