PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for measuring a ball behavior capable of accurately detecting a relative position between a retainer and a ball with regard to a circumferential direction in a ball bearing.SOLUTION: A ring illumination 18 illuminates a ball bearing 10 and an imaging lens 20 takes an image of the ball bearing 10 with a ball 13 being in the state of revolution. An image processing unit 22 calculates a center position of the ball 13 on the basis of reflected light, of the ring illumination 18, on a surface of the ball 13, included in the taken image. Then, the image processing unit 22 calculates a relative position between the ball 13 and a retainer, on the basis of the calculated center position of the ball 13, a first marker position marked on a surface of the retainer included in the taken image, and a second marker position marked on the surface of the retainer included in the taken image. |
