PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of appropriately processing a high-definition image.SOLUTION: An image pickup device comprises: an imaging sensor 12 that picks up an image; division means that divides the image picked up by the image sensor into a plurality of area images; a plurality of processors (main processors 21, 31, 41, 51) that, regarding the plurality of area images, encode the respective area images; and a plurality of recording medium mounting units (memory card slots 23, 33, 43, 53) that are respectively mounted with a plurality of recording media for recording the respective area images respectively encoded by the plurality of processors. Then, any of the plurality of processors comprises a format execution unit 72 that creates directories for respectively recording the encoded area images in the respective recording media mounted on the recording medium mounting units in association with directory names, respectively. |
