PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation irradiation apparatus, a program and a radiation irradiation method that can emit a radiation beams with high therapeutic effect to a wide range while reducing destruction of normal cells.SOLUTION: The radiation irradiation apparatus includes: a radiation emission device for emitting a radiation beam; a radiation shield arranged on a downstream side in an emitting direction of the radiation beam with respect to the radiation emission device, having a plurality of slits to cause the emitted radiation beam to pass and for shielding the radiation beam incidents to other than the plurality of slits; and a control unit (S115) for controlling to move at least one of a first region and a second region so that the second region as an irradiation region of the radiation beam passed through the radiation shield relatively moves with respect to the first region as an irradiation target of the radiation beam, and controlling to irradiate the radiation beam so that a part of the radiation beam passed through the slits before and after the moving.
