PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus which achieves accurate focus.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes: a half mirror 21 which can be inserted or removed between an optical system and an imaging element 22; and a screen 241 which is provided at a position coupled to a predetermined focal plane. The imaging apparatus further includes: an observation optical system 24 in which an image is formed on the screen 241 with a light beam reflected by the half mirror 21; offset amount storage means 25 which stores therein an offset amount that is used for correcting, by a travel of an image surface due to insertion of the half mirror 21, a defocus amount calculated with the half mirror 21 being inserted and that is larger as an aperture F-number for limiting a pair of focus detection light beams is smaller; and defocus amount correcting means 25 which corrects, on the basis of an offset amount read from the offset amount storage means according to the aperture F-number for limiting the pair of focus detection light beams, a defocus amount calculated with the half mirror 21 being inserted. |
