PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high quality and high reliability of a secondary battery by restraining defects due to an electrolyte remaining near an opening.SOLUTION: A secondary battery in an embodiment comprises: a container; a heat input part; a diameter-reduced part; and a lid. The container has a wall on which the opening is provided, and houses an electrode body and an electrolyte. The heat input part includes portions provided on an outer face of the wall along the opening and aligned in a direction away from the opening, and is provided on the wall. The diameter-reduced part is provided on the wall, and is formed so that a diameter of the opening between the outer face of the wall and an inner face opposite to the outer face is made smaller than that of the opening. The lid is fixed to the wall while it is overlaid on the heat input part, so as to block the opening. |
