This component mounting device is provided with a head unit having: a first nozzle array containing a plurality of nozzle members aligned in a first direction; a second nozzle array that contains a plurality of nozzle members aligned in the first direction and that is aligned in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction with respect to the first nozzle array; a first linear motor that vertically drives the nozzle members of the first nozzle array; and a second linear motor that vertically drives the nozzle members of the second nozzle array. Each linear motor contains a linear motor main body and a frame member. The linear motor main bodies contain: a stationary element; and a mobile element that can move vertically and faces the stationary element in the second direction. The stationary element is an armature, the mobile element is a field element, and the nozzle members are coupled to the mobile element. The first linear motor and the second linear motor are disposed in a manner so that the mobile elements approach each other in the second direction, and the stationary elements are each positioned to the outside of the mobile elements. |
