The invention relates to a rotor (16) for a permanent-magnet machine having at least two permanent magnets having different polarizations, characterized in that the rotor is provided with at least two layers (1, 11); in that a first layer is made of a magnetically conductive material and a second layer (11) is made of a magnetically non-conductive material; in that the first and second layers are arranged in the manner of a multilayer packet and form two receiving areas (3, 12), which are laterally bound by retaining bars (7, 3) of the respective layer (1, 11); in that the permanent magnets (4) are arranged in the receiving areas (3, 12); in that the first and the second permanent magnet (4) is magnetic-conductively connected to the first layer (1); and in that the retaining bars (7) of the magnetically conductive first layer (1) are made of a non-magnetic material.
