PURPOSE: A lens unit and a light emitting device are provided to obtain an optimized light efficiency by totally reflecting in a reflecting surface of a recess which is in the top of the lens unit and the light emitting device. CONSTITUTION: A first and a second lens (15,17) each comprise a plane of incidence (21), reflective surfaces (23a,23b), a rear side (24), and multiple sides (25,26,27). The plane of incidence is formed in a first recess (11). The reflective surface is formed in a second recess (13). The rear side contacts to the plane of incidence. The side is formed between the rear side and the reflective surface.
