PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor memory device capable of improving data transfer efficiency.SOLUTION: A semiconductor memory device includes a memory (3), and a controller (4) for controlling the memory. The controller communicates with a host device via a first signal line (141) and a second signal line (142), and receives a plurality of data pieces to be written in the memory on the first and second signal lines during a first period from the host device. The same group number is assigned to two data pieces parallelly flowing on the first and second signal lines. The controller transmits, to the host device, a response packet including clear indication of a group number assigned to a data piece not received normally among the plurality of data pieces. |
