PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reactor water level and temperature measuring device that allows the soundness of a detection section utilizing thermocouples and a signal transmission section to be evaluated and further allows reliability of indicated values to be checked.SOLUTION: A reactor water level and temperature measuring device comprises: intra-reactor instrumentation tubes 7 inserted into intra-reactor instrumentation housings 8 and intra-reactor instrumentation guide tubes 9; a plurality of water level and temperature detection sensors 6 installed inside the intra-reactor instrumentation tubes; a temperature measuring device 16 for measuring temperatures of thermocouples; a heater controller 17 for controlling electric currents supplied to heater wires; a storage device 19 for storing a threshold table that associates the temperatures of the thermocouples before energization of heaters and temperature rise amounts of the thermocouples at the time of the energization of the heaters with a steam atmosphere, a water atmosphere and a sensor failure; and a water level, temperature and failure determination device 18 that applies the temperatures of the thermocouples before the energization of the heaters measured by the temperature measuring device and the temperature rise amounts of the thermocouples at the time of the energization of the heaters to the threshold table, determines the steam atmosphere, the water atmosphere and the sensor failure, and generates information of the water level, the temperature and the sensor failure inside the reactor from a determination result with respect to each of the sensors. |
