Solar heating

A system for controlling a swimming pool solar heating arrangement. The system includes two or more temperature sensors and a controller. The sensors provide an indication of a temperature rise across a solar collector. The controller is configured to 5 control a mechanism to move water at a flow rate about a fluid circuit, the fluid circuit including the pool and the solar collector; receive the indication of the temperature rise across the collector; and in response to the temperature rise across the collector control the mechanism to vary the flow rate to a non-zero value.
