PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of refrigerant from a connection part between a suction pipe and a suction port (41) provided at a compression mechanism (20) of a rotary compressor, and also prevent an increase in size of the compression mechanism (20).SOLUTION: A cylinder (22) is provided with a suction pipe connection part (22b) extending from a cylinder body part (22a) positioned between a front head (23) and a rear head (24) to a radial outer side beyond an outer circumferential edge of the cylinder heads (23, 24). The suction port (41) comprises: a small diameter part (41a) formed at a cylinder body part (22a) and opening to a cylinder chamber; and a large diameter part (41b) having a circular cross section, formed at the suction pipe connection part (22b) so as to communicate with the small diameter part (41a), and opening to an outer end surface of the suction pipe connection part (22b). The large diameter part (41b) has a shape having a size larger in a rotary shaft direction of the compression mechanism (20) than that of the small diameter part (41a). |
