PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inclined passenger conveyor capable of preventing a step from descending downward in a conveyance direction when stopping, even if a step chain is broken.SOLUTION: A step braking device 23 is provided for braking a step 3 when stopped, in addition to a braking device 13 provided in a drive device 4. By this arrangement, the step 3 is fixed to a frame 2 without descending, even if a step chain 6 breaks down, so that the safety of a passenger on the step 3 of an inclined passenger conveyor can be secured. Further, even when the passenger cannot help but use the conveyor as a passage at the operation stop, the passenger can safely move by fixing the step 3 itself. |
