PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ability to supply a fixed amount of powder without providing a delivery device at the outlet side of a feed hopper when powder is transported from a lock hopper to the feed hopper by a pressure difference.SOLUTION: A powder supply apparatus includes: a lock hopper 2 in which powder is stored and which can be pressurized; transfer piping 4 connected to the bottom of the lock hopper 2 and having a powder valve 3 interposed therein; the feed hopper 5 into which powder transferred through the transfer piping 4 is introduced; transportation piping 12 through which powder introduced into the feed hopper 5 is gas-flow transported from the powder discharging port 11 of the feed hopper; pressure release piping 8 that reduces the pressure of the feed hopper 5 by releasing gas therein; a pressure release adjustment valve 9 which is interposed in the pressure release piping 8 and has an adjustable degree of opening; and opening-degree control means that controls the degree of the opening of the pressure release adjustment valve 9 according to a rise in pressure in the feed hopper 5 when powder is introduced. A dust collecting device 10 for collecting powder is interposed upstream from the pressure release adjustment valve 9 of the pressure release piping 8. |
