An integrated bipolar implantable medical electrical lead (300), which may be employed by a cardiac defibrillator, has a single low voltage electrode (341) and a single high voltage electrode (330) and em- ploys a relatively robust and fail-safe configuration of three conduc- tors (LVC1, LVC2, HVC). Each of the three conductors extends within an individual lumen (371, 372, 373) of a tri-lumen insulative body (37) of the lead. First (LVCl) and second (LVC2) conductors of the three connect, in parallel, the low voltage electrode (341) to a first con- tact (351) of a connector terminal assembly (35) of the lead, and a third conductor (HVC) of the three connects the high voltage electrode (330) to a second (352) and a third (353) contact of the connector ter- minal assembly. |
