METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SETTING CVLAN IN TRILL NETWORK

Provided are a method and device for setting a CVLAN in a TRILL network, which relate to the field of communications and can effectively avoid unnecessary multicast data replication in the TRILL network and save bandwidth. The method includes: a switch setting a CVLAN to be in a deactivated state, so that a routing bridge does not send the multicast data of the CVLAN to the switch; and if the switch determines that there is an online network device in the CVLAN set thereby, the switch setting the CVLAN to be in an activated state, so that the routing bridge sends the multicast data of the CVLAN to the switch. The present invention is applied in CVLAN setting.
