PURPOSE: A method for constructing a container carrier with a hatch coaming top structure is provided to improve use of a space in the container carrier as the side of a unit bay is inserted into a top plate. CONSTITUTION: A method for constructing a container carrier comprises following steps. A second deck protrudes from both sides of vertical walls (124, 126), and the tope plate is assembled to the second deck with one upper block. The vertical wall at the lower part of the second deck is assembled by one lower block. A level pad with a thickness corresponding to the protruding length of the top plate is placed at the lower block, and the upper block is connected to the lower block.
