A System and method to electronically catalogue and store food dishes from any restaurant in the world into a database as individual dish records, and allowing an electronic device such as a mobile application or website to display the food dishes as an digital menu through this database, and have the dishes ordered based on the number of votes as submitted by the public through the same mobile application or website.

A system for collecting menu dishes from restaurants around the world and locally in Australia and storing them into a single (1) or distributed database (2). The system would allow personnel from individual restaurants and food outlets (3) to input their menu dishes individually via a website portal (4) or send an electronic document (5) of their menu to the Foodwhistle Company so that staff (7) of the company would enter those dishes into the database (1). The System will then display all the dishes from the database (2) pertaining to the food outlet (3) on request by the user (6) using a smart phone application (8) or website (9). The request will then display the dishes in an order that can be sorted based on the number of votes, reviews or specials that is determined by the system in order to promote a selection of dishes within that restaurant.
