PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal (inner) permanent magnet electric machine which improves demagnetization characteristics while maintaining a high peak current.SOLUTION: Provided are apparatus and methods for improved performance of electric machines, including internal permanent magnet electric machines. Some embodiments are provided with multiple pairs of permanent magnets. Each magnet is made of a pair of materials. One of the materials is selected to have improved high temperature magnetic characteristics. In some embodiments, the second material is selected to have improved magnetic characteristics at relatively low temperatures even if having less preferable magnetic characteristics at relatively high temperatures than the other materials. |
