PURPOSE: A system for providing a free call service through advertisement participation in a messenger and a social network service (SNS) and a method thereof are provided to accumulate a part of profits for advertisement participation as points, thereby utilizing the points as a free call, a free text message, etc. CONSTITUTION: People connect to a messenger or an SNS (S700). An advertiser server requests advertisement content to a service providing system. The service providing system exposes an advertisement icon on the messenger or the SNS (S702). When a user selects a free call icon for a free call while using the messenger and the SNS, the user inputs a phone number (S704). When the user calls, advertisement content is reproduced, and free call time is displayed (S706,S708). When the free call is ended, a part of profits for advertisement charge is accumulated to the user as points (S710). When the user selects the free call icon on an advertisement screen after ending the free call, the user calls to a seller based on a phone number of the seller which is stored in the advertisement content (S712-S716).
