<p>A feed unit (1) supplying sheets (F1, F2) of wrapping material for cigarette packets comprises a first feed assembly (2) supplying first sheets (F1) of a first type of wrapping material (M1); a second feed assembly (3) supplying second sheets (F2) of a second type of wrapping material (M2); and a device (4) for taking up the first sheets (F1) and the second sheets (F2) respectively from the first feed assembly (2) and second feed assembly (3) and for transferring successions of a first sheet (F1) and a second sheet (F2) to the same wrapping station (5); the wrapping station (5) comprises at least one line (L1) supplying successions of groups (G1) of cigarettes intended to be enveloped, alternately, by the first wrapping sheets (F1) and by the second wrapping sheets (F2).
