PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition, adapted for use in seawater, which is able to strike a balance well-balancedly between the property of less readily peeling away from an adherend during use in seawater and the property of being more readily removed from the adherend after use in seawater, and also to provide an adhesive tape for preventing aquatic biofouling, the adhesive tape containing an adhesive layer comprising the adhesive composition.SOLUTION: The adhesive composition is appropriate for use in seawater and includes a carboxy group-containing acrylic polymer as a principal ingredient, wherein the content ratio of a carboxyl group-containing monomer in a total monomer component that composes the carboxy group-containing acrylic polymer is less than 30% by weight. |
