PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, for a steam sterilizer, a technique for avoiding a risk in a state of an incomplete sealing of an opening by rotational operation of a handle.SOLUTION: In the steam sterilizer, a lid is moved to the opening side due to rotation of a handle shaft in accordance with the rotation of the handle while the free end of an arm being positioned at a holding part, and then a packing comes into contact with the opening and also the free end of the arm is moved to the handle side, and, further, this movement is restricted by the holding part. This steam sterilizer includes: a detection switch which is provided at the holding part and detects the state where the movement of the free end of the arm to the handle side is restricted by the holding part; and a rotation angle detecting means which detects an angle of rotation of the handle. |
