PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect a failure in a hypervisor to improve availability of a computer system.SOLUTION: A computer system comprises: a primary virtual machine and a secondary virtual machine which are configured on a physical machine; primary software which accesses a storage device in response to an access request from the primary virtual machine or the secondary virtual machine; and a plurality of pieces of secondary software which operate on the secondary virtual machine and perform communication with the primary software through a hypervisor. The secondary software monitors communication time when performing communication with the primary software and detects occurrence of a delay failure in the hypervisor when the communication time required for the communication with the primary software exceeds secondary time-out monitoring time which is longer than primary time-out monitoring time set to the primary software. |
