摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve both increase in printing speed and reduction in power consumption.SOLUTION: A thermal head 10 includes: a laminated substrate 13, in which a support substrate 12 and an upper substrate 14 that are made of the same glass materials and have a concave portion 21 on one surface of at least one of them, are arranged in a laminated state to block the concave portion 21, which has a hollow part 23 between the support substrate 12 and the upper substrate 14 with the concave portion 21; a heating resistor 15 formed at a position opposing to the hollow part 23 on the surface of the upper substrate 14 in the laminated substrate 13; and a pair of electrodes 17A, 17B which are connected to both ends of the heating resistor 15, and supply power to the heating resistor 15. The laminated substrate 13 includes: an intermediate metal layer 25 made of metal materials which are sandwiched between the support substrate 12 and the upper substrate 14, and bonded with the substrates in the laminated state; and a peripheral metal layer 27 which is in contact with the intermediate metal layer 25, and is made of metal materials formed on the surface opposite to the bonded part with the upper substrate 14 from the surface extending in the plate thickness direction of the support substrate 12.
