PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber processing agent composition that allows a poly-γ-glutamic acid/functional material to sufficiently show its performance and to have durability, and also prevents deterioration in quality of a fiber or fiber product, especially deterioration in texture and physical characteristics thereof caused by high temperature treatment.SOLUTION: The poly-γ-glutamic acid/functional material is added to a fiber or fiber product by the steps of: preparing a composition that contains poly-γ-glutamic acid and a functional material comprising at least one or more agents selected from the group consisting of a deodorizer, a deodorant, an antibacterial agent, a cooling agent, an ultraviolet shielding agent and a texture improving agent; depositing the composition on the fiber or fiber product by immersing the fiber or fiber product in the composition or spraying the composition in a mist form or aerosol form; then drying the fiber or fiber product at 150°C or lower; and fixing the poly-γ-glutamic acid/functional material to the fiber product.
