This blower device is provided with an axial flow-type fan (3) having multiple air-blowing blades (31), and a fan shroud (2) having a cylinder unit (23) which encloses the outer circumference of the fan (3) and is spaced at an interval away from said fan, and having an air guide unit (24) which guides air sucked in by the fan (3). The outer edge the fan shroud (2) includes a narrow edge portion (21) where the distance to the outer circumference of the fan (3) is shorter than in other portions, and also includes a protruding edge (22) which is formed at a position advanced from the narrow edge portion (21) in the rotation direction (R), protrudes beyond the fan (3) in the upstream direction of the intake air, and protrudes outwards beyond the air guide unit (24). By this means, a blower device can be provided which has a fan shroud (2) capable of decreasing rotation noise. |
