The suction side of the electric coolant pump (5) in the flow direction of the refrigerant is connected to a suction side of the mechanical coolant pump (4). The coolant is conveyed from electrical coolant pump directly to the coolant return line through the crankcase (2,2') and/or the cylinder head (3).
