<p>Disclosed are a method and system for obtaining positioning capability of Standalone Service Mobile Location Center (SAS),in the method: a Radio Network Controller (RNC) transmits a request message to multiple SAS devices, wherein the request message carries the positioning calculation method needed by the RNC and the load congestion information of the SAS devices; the RNC receives the response messages of the request message from one of the multiple SAS devices or from multiple SAS devices, wherein each response message carries the indication information whether to support the positioning calculation method needed by the RNC and the load congestion information of the SAS devices. According to the technique solution of the present invention, effects of, before the RNC initiating the positioning calculation request, obtaining the positioning capability information of the SAS in advance, adjusting the positioning method in time, and selecting the appropriate SAS devices, thus improving the dependability of positioning and the impressibility of the user are achieved.</p> |
