<p>Disclosed are an optical fibre adapter and an assembly method therefor. The optical fibre adapter is used for the connection of an optical fibre plug. An opening is arranged in the casing of the optical fibre adapter; an inner liner houses a collimating sleeve, and is arranged in the opening; the outer part is closed using a cover plate; and an insertion end is provided with more than one optical fibre plug jack, and a locating slot and a locking slot are arranged to match with each jack. The width of each optical fibre plug jack is reduced to 2.5 to 4.5 mm, and the distance between adjacent jacks is reduced to 3 to 5 mm, so that the dimensions are more compact; the integral structure is also simple, and the assembly is convenient without needing ultrasonic welding, and the production costs can be reduced. The optical fibre adapter can be matched with high-density optical fibre plugs, thereby significantly increasing the connection density of optical fibre connections.</p> |
