The seat shell (1) has a portion of a fiber-reinforced plastic, particularly short-fiber-reinforced plastic, and another portion of another fiber-reinforced plastic, particularly long-fiber-reinforced plastic. The former portion is dimensionally stable than the latter portion. The former portion forms a frame that surrounds the latter portion that forms a shell. The shell has mutually opposite edge sides (9), and the crossed long fibers of the long-fiber-reinforced plastic are extended between the mutually opposite edge sides. An independent claim is included for a method for manufacturing seat shell of a motor vehicle.
