The dual clutch transmission has a main group (10a) which comprises a main shaft (18a) and a countershaft (16a). A downstream group (11a) is arranged in power flow after the main group. The downstream group has a planetary drive (20a) which comprises a hollow wheel (21a). The gear-wheel planes (Z1a to Z6a) are provided to connect the countershaft directly with the hollow wheel. Switching units (S4a,S5a) are provided to connect the countershaft with the hollow wheel. The gear-wheel planes have idler wheels (Z51a,Z52a) arranged coaxial to the countershaft.
