The method involves providing a steering wheel frame (1). A foam casing (2) is formed around the steering wheel frame, where the foam casing forms a contour of a steering wheel (4). A ridge (3) of the foam casing is removed by cutting along the contour of the steering wheel using a blade, which is pressurized by ultrasonic vibration. The blade is guided along a path of the contour of the steering wheel by a robotic arm. The steering wheel is partially kept under bias when removing the ridge of the foam casing. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for deburring a steering wheel (2) a steering wheel.
