The present invention provides a CMOS image sensor for outputting a digital pulse, which can: output a digital pulse in pixel units without a separate oscillator or a switching element and reduce the unit area of pixels by minimizing the number of transistors, thereby increasing the resolution of an image; and operate according to a single control signal whereby synchronization between control signals is not required. The present invention, the CMOS image sensor for outputting a digital pulse comprises: a photoelectric conversion device; a transmission transistor which is turned on according to a transmission signal, and which transfers a signal sensed by the photoelectric conversion device to a sensing node; a digital pulse output unit for converting a signal of the sensing node into a digital pulse, and outputting the digital pulse; a reset transistor which is turned on according to an output terminal signal of the digital pulse output unit connected to a gate terminal, and which initializes the sensing node; and a select transistor which is turned on according to a select signal, and which outputs the digital pulse signal of the digital pulse output unit.
