A feedback method for actively scanning a user terminal and an access point provided by the embodiments of the present invention relate to a communication field, and can eliminate buffered probing response information after a timer achieves preset time by setting the timer in the access point, further reduce overheads of channel resources. The feedback method for actively scanning user terminal of the embodiment comprises: receiving a probing request message from the user terminal, the probing request message including scanning time preset by the user terminal; generating and buffering a probing response message for the probing request message; setting and starting the timer corresponding to the user terminal according to the received scanning time preset by the user terminal; and eliminating the buffered probing response message after the timer is determined to achieve the preset scanning time and the probing response message is not transmitted to the user terminal.
