This composition that is for controlling plant disease and that contains ethaboxam and a pyridazine compound indicated by formula (I) (in the formula: R1 represents a chlorine atom, a bromine atom, a cyano group, or a methyl group; and R2 represents a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom) exhibits a superior controlling effect with respect to plant disease. The present invention provides: the composition for controlling plant disease and containing ethaboxam and the pyridazine compound indicated by formula (I); and a method for controlling plant disease and containing a step for treating plants or soil for cultivating plants with an effective quantity of ethaboxam and the pyridazine compound indicated by formula (I).
