<p>An objective of the present invention is to desirably carry out a depth control of graphics which are displayed in superposition in a stereoscopic image on a receiving side. Disparity information which is acquired for each picture of image data is embedded in a video stream and transmitted. It is possible to desirably carry out a depth control of graphics which are displayed in superposition in a stereoscopic image on a receiving side with picture (frame) precision. Identification information for identifying whether the disparity information is embedded in the video stream is embedded in a container layer. With the identification information, it is possible to easily identify on the receiving side whether the disparity information is embedded in the video stream, allowing accurately carrying out a depth control of graphics.</p> |
