PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a crash of a setting value in BIOS whose activation is confirmed and replacement of a system board, and save a labor of a user to perform setting for the BIOS.SOLUTION: An information processing device comprises an OS 10, and BIOS 1 and a spare area 2 on a system board as a configuration of a principal part in this invention. In the spare area 2, a setting value 21 showing completion of POST is stored. The spare area 2, for example, can be configured with flash memory. In this case, the spare area 2 is configured with two storage areas, and both of these two storage areas can be configured with flash memory, too. Prior to activation of the BIOS 1, the OS 10 compares the setting value 11 of the BIOS 1 with the setting value 21 of the spare area 2 and displays only items in which there is a difference (a differential value) as a BIOS differential setting menu. |
