PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wiper controller configured to improve responsiveness and stability of wiping mode.SOLUTION: On the basis of an output signal of a raindrop sensor, a raindrop amount detection means detects the amount of raindrops adhered to a raindrop detection area during wiper wiping motion (S3). A detection rate calculation means calculates the number of times that the raindrops are detected with respect to the number of wiper wiping motions, as a rain detection rate (S2). A determination number-of-times setting means sets a smaller number of times for wiping mode switching determination as the rain detection rate is higher, and sets a larger number of times as the rain detection rate is lower (S5-S8, S12-S15). A wiping mode switching means sets mode-up (S10) when the amount of raindrops is continuously equal to or more than a mode-up threshold for the number of determinations (YES in S9), and sets mode-down (S17) when the amount of raindrops is continuously equal to or less than a mode-down threshold for the number of determinations (YES in S16). |
