PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage device so constructed that components of a protection circuit are housed in the sealed power storage device which can temporarily stop a function of the power storage device and recover from the stop state upon an external operation in the event of a failure factor external to the power storage device.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 10 as a sealed power storage device has therein current path switch means 20 for interrupting current supply to an electrode body 12 of the secondary battery 10 if an overvoltage equal to or higher than a preset voltage is applied between a positive external terminal 15 and a negative external terminal 17. The current path switch means 20 is configured to switch between a current interrupting state and a current non-interrupting state and to recover to the original state upon an external operation after switching from the current non-interrupting state as a normal state to the current interrupting state as an overvoltage state in response to the application of an overvoltage. |
