The present invention relates to a silicon oxide for an anode material of a secondary battery having excellent mechanical lifetime and electrical characteristic, a manufacturing method thereof, and an anode material of a secondary battery using the silicon oxide, and more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a silicon oxide for an anode material of a secondary battery, including the steps of: manufacturing a mixture by mixing SiCl4 with ethylene glycol; manufacturing a gel by stirring the mixture; and thermally treating the gel, the silicon oxide manufactured therethrough, and the anode material of the secondary battery using the silicon oxide. |
