Monitoring the temperature of lighting devices

The method involves detecting a duty cycle of a lighting device (14-17, 210) according to switching-on of the lighting device. The estimated temperature of the lighting device is computed based on the duty cycle of the lighting device. The supply of current to the lighting device is reduced, when the estimated temperature exceeds a temperature threshold level. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a device for controlling temperature of lighting device; and (2) a vehicle with lighting device.
