PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for recording data based on power consumption are provided to select ways and channels to store data based on an allowable current consumption value and an allowable minimum performance value. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit includes a plurality of channels and a control unit(110). Each channel includes a plurality of ways and each way includes a memory(154). The control unit selects channels which store data among a plurality of channels based on power supplied to the storage unit and selects ways to write data among the plurality of ways. |
