<p>An intra-aortic balloon catheter 20 having a balloon part 22 inserted inside the aorta and inflating and deflating to assist heart functions, an outer tube 24 connected to the proximal end of the balloon part 22 to introduce and guide out pressurized fluid inside the balloon part 22, and an inner tube 30 to which the distal end of the balloon part 22 is connected and extending through the insides of the balloon part 22 and outer tube 24 in the axial direction. The inner tube 30 is fused or adhered to the inside wall of the outer tube 24 over a length of 50% or greater of the total length L1 from the distal end of the outer tube 24. The inner tube 30 is engaged with the inside wall of the outer tube 24 by a cut piece 54 at the distal end of the outer tube 24.</p> |
